Botanical Linocut Workshop with Paige Dirksen

Participants will use real plant clippings to design and carve their own linoleum print. In this 2.5 hour workshop, lead by local printmaker Paige Dirksen, participants will learn the basics of linoleum printmaking, including carving and hand-printing onto paper to make their own edition of a botanical print. No previous experience necessary.
Paige Dirksen is a printmaker and artist residing in Bella Vista, AR, where she lives with her husband and two children. She grew up in Iowa and earned a BA in Studio Art/Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa and an MA in Art Therapy Counseling from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Paige primarily works with woodcuts and other forms of printmaking, but enjoys exploring different media as well.
All class participants receive 15% off of any purchase made at Hillfolk on the day of the workshop.
