If you love journaling, beginning your year intentionally, and crafting, this class is for you! Join us for a meditative dive into the world of memory encapsulating embroidery with local artist, Melinda. Students will learn how to transfer hand drawn designs onto fabric then how to stitch on a small scale to create icons that represent big moments throughout the course of their year.

Students will leave with an arsenal of tools to continue their year long embroidery: a little journal for writing down important moments, a page full of seasonal icon drawings, embroidery floss in several colors, along with the knowledge and confidence to continue their embroidery throughout the course of the year.

Some knowledge of embroidery is great, but not required.

About our Teacher

Melinda Prynne is a textile artist living in Rogers, AR with her husband, two little boys, and dog named Milk. She grew up with a love of making and began professionally crafting in 2019 when she became a studio manager and teacher at a craft studio in Portland, Oregon. She has developed and taught comprehensive classes on candle making, weaving, cement planters, wreath making, acrylic pouring, and botanical line drawing, but these days, as a mom, she prefers the portability and versatility of embroidery.
