Prairie Florals: Embroidery and Block Printing Class

Regular price $75.00
Unit price
per

In this class, participants will create their own custom framed embroidery inspired by the prairie land indigenous to the Ozarks. Led by Melinda Prynne (one of our favorite instructors and creatives) we will explore transferring designs to fabric using stamps and block printing techniques as well as provided floral drawings and transfer paper. After the designs have been finalized, we will go through a variety of stitches needed to complete the embroidery. Students will leave with the confidence and skills to finish their embroidery at home, along with an appreciation for the local prairie.

All supplies are included. Students will take home the hoop, their frame, and enough embroidery floss to finish their work at home.

About our Teacher

Melinda Prynne is a textile artist living in Rogers, AR with her husband, two little boys, and dog named Milk. She grew up with a love of making and began professionally crafting in 2019 when she became a studio manager and teacher at a craft studio in Portland, Oregon. She has developed and taught comprehensive classes on candle making, weaving, cement planters, wreath making, acrylic pouring, and botanical line drawing, but these days, as a mom, she prefers the portability and versatility of embroidery.
