Conversations & Community with Ozark Fibershed

Friday, December 16th

5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Springdale Pop-Up Location // 111 W Emma Avenue, Springdale, AR 72764

Join us for an exciting panel discussion on the life and ecosystems of local fibers & get to know your local chapter of Fibershed! The Ozark Fibershed is a recently-established organization serving the farmers, makers, and textile lovers of the Ozark region. Taking cues from existing local community builders, they strive to build networks of local knowledge and production and to build systems that are mutually beneficial to all members of our fiber community.

Ozark Fibershed believes that the conversation around environmental sustainability must include not only the food we eat and the fuel we use but the fibers that we live with. The eventual hope is to see the production of a textile situated in place.

The Ozark Fibershed exists within a network of regional fibershed organizations, each affiliated with Fibershed, a non-profit organization that develops regional fiber systems.

If you are at all interested in fiber and textiles in NWA, this social event is just for you!
