August Cyanotype Workshop

by Hillfolk

Saturday, August 31st

1:00-4:00 PM

801 SE 8th Street, Suite 49 Bentonville, AR 72712

Max Students: 15

Join local artist & photographer Brandon Forrest Frederick and learn the historical photographic process of Cyanotype. This process dates back to the early to mid 1800s, and was originally used to study plants. Since then it has been used by generations of artists in a myriad of ways. Using soil, fresh spring & dried flowers and other natural debris, students will create land impressions on paper.

Each participant will have everything they need to create and develop two Cyanotype images and will leave the class with confidence in the photographic process. Students will learn the chemistry and coating process as well as how to expose and stabilize your Cyanotype images.

Please feel free to bring objects from home to experiment with such as plant materials, photo negatives, feathers and other objects with various transparencies.

All class participants receive 20% off of any purchase made at Hillfolk on the day of the workshop.
