Learn the basics of using a needle and thread to create your own unique sashiko creations! In this demonstration, our co-owner, Bea Apple will teach you how to get started with needle and thread to piece together small blocks of fabric and stitch them together using the ancient Japanese craft of Sashiko. This class is perfect for beginners!

Bring some denim you need to mend or just want to add something decorative to!

About our Teacher

Bea Apple | Co-Owner

Bea Apple, an electrical engineer by trade, has spent the last 12 years immersed in the entrepreneurial community of NWA. As the founder of Pressroom, she successfully owned and operated it for four years before selling to Ropeswing, and has since been instrumental in launching several other hospitality projects, including Record, The Preacher’s Son, The Holler, and Sunny’s. Now, as a self-taught knitter, Bea is returning to her roots, combining her passion for making things with her entrepreneurial experience to help revive a culture of craftsmanship in the Ozarks
